SATELLITESODA.COM IS A GO

 Author:

LOOK AT THIS!!! WE DID IT!!!

It's been over a year, and this place has been through a lot, but it's finally up and running and totally dead-sexy!

What do you get?

15 awesome galleries full of diverse talent!

A weekly comic-strip section, which will be fully operational in the near future!

Fanart from the forum members and other miscellaneous rad artists!

The super awesomely infamous forum, which is avaliable in 3 very tasty little flavors!

A store where you can buy prints and posters created by us. Later down the track also shirts and stickers!

A library full of our individual contacts and RSS feeds!

Plus a links section full of stellar sites we've all grown to love.

None of this would have been possible without the mind-blowing coding and design work from our very own Dylan and SpyderFSG.
These two guys busted their nuts to make this place the way it is and
they can't possibly know how thankful the rest of the SS crew and I
are. YOU GUYS RULE!

Also, this wouldn't be nearly as
rewarding without the support of the guys and gals who current the
forum and helped make that place as cool as it is. Without them, it'd
just be us, the SatelliteSoda members, and as cool as we are we need
them! DESPERATELY!!!

So I'll quit yapping and let you people
get to the site, please contact us with any comments, suggestions, or
problems you might run into on the site, and if you're registered on
the forum just post your thoughts there.

One thing to keep in mind is
that the site was intended to be viewed on modern browsers (such as Firefox or anything new). So if anything looks "off", update your browser and you'll see the site the way it was meant to.

Thanks for stopping by, and spread the word!

-Dave

 The SS Crew

Incase you didn't know our forums have been taken over and will be
replaced ASAP. This means everyone will have to re-register and
we're all going to have to start from scratch. Hang in there,
don't cry, we can do it... TOGETHER!

Sorry for the trouble,
Stay classy Planet Earth,

-Dave

UPDATE

Well It would seem that all is well... for now at least. The forum code
has been updated and just needs to be tweaked some. But it all works
and we encourage you to post and be active. In the end all this proves
is that we will never go away and it just makes us stronger.

As for this act of temporarily hijacking the forums, I think we can
all agree that this was a low act of cowardice and/or jealousy. If the
attacker thinks they've accomplished anything, then they're right. All
it did was strengthen my resolve and the rest of the SS Crew's to
continue at no matter what the cost.

Thanks for the e-mails and support that we've recieved during these
two attacks we've had. We really appreciate it as it means we must be
doing something right. Stay classy cool people of the interweb.

Awesome news, SatelliteSoda has expanded its ranks by four! Four
awesome new members, therefore four awesome new galleries for you all
to check out. In case you didn't know, this is freaking ace!!!

Our new members are 16 year old sensation Clawedchickeneye (Kris Anka), super sexy Cmonster (Chelsea Lewyta), DaveRocks (Dave Collinson), seriously he does indeed rock, and the always magnificent Mar! All handpicked from the SatelliteSoda forums.
So make sure to check out the gallery section of the site!!!

Also, the Showcase on the of the site is up and running. The first pic to be showcased is "Trainride"
by RedMonkey, an absolutely amazing pic, so a big congratulations to
him. Anyone who posts their art on the SatelliteSoda forums is in the
running to be showcased. So the next person showcased could be YOU!!!

Those showcased get their art up on the home page plus linkage to
their site. In case your wondering if it will actually get seen, our
site averages 800 to 1000+ hits a day...believe it or not.

Also make sure to check out this weeks sexcellent Jessica Rabbit
Jam for much fun. Seriously its Jessica Rabbit of Who Framed Roger
Rabbit fame, possibly the sexiest cartoon character ever, people asked
for a sexy chick jam and I've offered it up. So get into it!!!

For more information on this weeks jam click here.

That's all for now, hopefully we'll have that comics section and
store up too somewhere in the near future. We're tightening the site
more and more, learning from our mistakes and all that jazz. We've spent alot of time
focusing on the forums but now we're turning some of that attention to making the
whole actual site cool!

Stay classy kids and never eat anything bigger then your head!

- Dylan

SatelliteSoda Month!!!

 Author:
Dylan

November 1st was the one year anniversary of the SatelliteSoda
site, one year since the site first went up already, so we're going to
celebrate all month long, maybe a bit longer!
To kick things off is one of three special weekly jams we'll be running this
month on the SatelliteSoda forums. Special because they will all tie back to SatelliteSoda in some
way.

November 1 is the beginning of the first SatelliteSoda related jam focusing on our evil
characters, Chairman Badfunk, Devastator Funk and Sir
Psycho!!!

November
8 will be the next SatelliteSoda related jam, focusing on our more
pleasant characters in comparison, FLB, Kid Missile and the Space
Chicka.

November 15 will be the
third jam and a small departure from the SatelliteSoda Universe, though
still tied back to SatelliteSoda.

November 22 we will be having a weeks rest.

November 29...hang on, I only said three jams, I wonder what will happen
on that day?! Something fun most likely. :]

All pictures completed for the jams will be added to the fanart gallery
on the main site, along with links to the artists site.

Keep an eye on this space and the forums for more developments on SatelliteSoda Month!!!

Enjoy! :]

- Dylan

Satellite Soda is holding its last contest for 2005! YOU WANT FREE
SODA SHIRT!? Of course you do! The contest is simple: All you have to
do is show Mouse (either the character or the actual person himself)
being made fun of, mocked, ridiculed, or humiliated in the most
creative way possible. Illustration, sequential, or whatever; and only
one entry per person. Violence is acceptable, but the only mandatory
rule is creativity. Come have some fun by making a fool of Mouse at
Mouse's own expense and help welcome in 2006 with a sensual and smooth
Satellite Soda tee! It's free! Except you have to win it! So it's not!!
Get to work, though, because the deadline is December 23rd, 1AM (PST).
