Hey everyone, I'm Rudy and I'm a kid who wants to make some goofy comics and have a good time.

I was recommended satellitesoda from a friend, so i thought I'd sign up and post what I've got! I dont really have any formal art instruction so all the help i can get would be great! I know i don't have too many polished drawings, I'm working on that next. :>

Welcome to the forums, who pointed you this way?

totally fun stuff, very stylized, but very confident, love what Im seeing, tons of life and energy to everything.

Love the females, would be great to see some vehicles, animals, creatures, or men haha. Im not totally against joes recommendation either, but yah, itd be great to see you branch out a bit since you sold us on your take on females, environments, and narrative.

Stoked to see more work, awesome stuff, and again, WELCOME TO EARTH!

thanks guys! I was sent here by Soulkarl, right around the Daily Draw February thing. i wanted to find a forum to point me in the right direction.

And it definitely is, I'll try to draw vehicles/animals/creatures/men more often!! and of course slip in some more babes lounging on babes. :>

That crassly cyan/magenta sweater girl is a complete win. Absolutely love that one.
Generally I'm digging the way you're drawing these girls, they're definitely cute!

i feel like im talking to myself on here, but im gonna give it a last shot

so i've been doing a 30 day drawing challenge to focus on some things i could improve on, and heres some of my favorites (plus some other doodles):











any critiques on anatomy/coloring/perspective/etc would be really helpful! and any suggestions for other things to focus on would be sweet too, thanks a bunch :>

MY BLAARRAAGGHHH - AN ART REF APP I MADE

Im color-blind, so I wont dare step in that arena, but for anatomy/perspective... you definitely already have a pretty confident hold on those, you're playing around, trying things out, trying different poses all the time which is great since so many ppl get stuck in their safe zone of drawing the same pose over and over again... so mad props for that.

I would say to just keep drawing, a SHIT load. Most of your work is colored, Id crank out more and more sketches, fuck inks and colors for a bit, just keep drawing and drawing as often as you can. And just keep observing life. observe how things work, come together, rest, move, interact, etc. There's nothing glaring sticking out in your work really at all, you seem to be at that stage where you just gota keep drawing and drawing and you'll just keep getting better and better.

Love coming back to this thread, keep up the awesome work, totally fun stuff going on in here.

that bathtub looks a lil' wonky, maybe look up how to draw circles in perspective ... also their boobs look sort of detached from their bodies, probably because they're a bit too circular and you've drawn the line almost all the way around them. in general your breasts are a bit fake-looking, I don't know if that's on purpose or not?

really liking the soldier girl - really nice flat colours and some killer legs too!

The last girl looks just a little off balance, but I love the curves. You designs are super cute and have a very classic look to them. You should do some more animation!

Awesome!! Your line quality is insaaaanely nice. And the character is super appealing. Love the real-life bedroom shot with the girl in it.

If I could say one thing, it would be that some of your shorthand to define certain things can sometimes get a bit wonky. Like, particularly in hands and knee areas. Just keep practicing drawing these thangs from real life, and your shorthand will level up fo sho!

Love this thread. your style has so much energy. I would crit some stuff but then you go and fix it later and improve...so at this point all I can say is that I'm looking forward to more stuff.

I like these latest comics, the strip with the barbie dolls is fun and I like the slight offensiveness of the last one - I'd like to see more aggressive/offensive content from you! just a personal taste thing, but I think you'd do well with it.
are you at some type of art school or are you doing this as a hobby type thing? just out of curiosity ...

@ Mara: ah, i haven't thought about attempting some more aggressive/offensive content very actively, but the idea seems interesting enough to try out more consciously!

and im not in an art school, its just in my free time BUT I'm trying to take it serious and push myself to learn and make my own comics i can be proud of, and so i can sell independently and just kinda do my own thing!!

Love disappearing for a bit and coming back to shit loads more art from you, staying busy much? haha.

Awesome new art though, especially digging your rendering on the post from Oct 16th, that piece feels like a new breath of fresh air to your look, level up!

Im with Mara, push the boundaries on content if you want, I feel theres a fine line of doing it and remaining tasteful, Mara does an excellent job with it.

Anyways, keep on keeping on! Id love to see you take a stab at more realistic females, or realistic anything, for a bit and coming back to your style and seeing how it evolves.

Great work, cant wait to see more!
